Coelaborative Epistemology in Social-Solidary Organizations. Contributions from Materialist Philosophy

Epistemología co(e)laborativa en organizaciones social-solidarias. Aportes desde la filosofía materialista

This article presents a reflection on the contributions of the so-called materialisms to the epistemological foundations of our research program. The guiding questions in this quest are: What points in common can we point out among authors from the so-called materialist school that enrich our epistemological construction, affecting our methodological and theoretical approach? And what aspects of our research work should we keep open, flexible, not fully solidified if we want to deepen collaborative and co-elaborative practices as a methodology and epistemology? To clarify this, in the first section, we will present the socio-materialist approach through the work of two key authors: Bruno Latour and Jane Bennett. In the second section, we bring a historic approach to European materialisms. In the third section, we elaborate on the relationship between the collaborative research stance and the concepts discussed in the previous sections. As a conclusion, we make explicit future avenues for research as suggested by the reflection developed.
